There is power in the visions that we hold in our minds.
The longer we hold a vision, the more real we make it; the clearer the vision becomes, the more realistic it is that it will happen.
This is one of many reasons to get a clear vision for what you’re creating in your life.
Write down your goals for your health, your relationships, your family, your finances, your contribution, your fun, your spirituality and whatever else you can dream up.
Identifying your goals and writing them down acts like a GPS coordinate. Here’s a quick example of a goal being like a GPS coordinate.
If I tell you to meet me in Chicago next week and those are the only instructions I give you, then there’s a pretty good chance we might not find one another.
Now if I say let’s meet at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville at 1pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, when I will be sitting in the back corner on the right wearing a Cubs jersey, then the chances of us succeeding increases dramatically.
Hone in on your visions for the future. Clarity is power!
Here’s an upbeat song I wrote called “Shake It.” And the chapter to the book.
“Shake It” is about creating a vision for your life that allows you to bring your strengths and talents to the world in a way that makes the world a better place for each of us.
